A short history of Washington Park
Washington Park (also known as Wash Park) was first developed in the 1890s by architects Reinhard Schuetze and Saco DeBoer. It has a rural, relaxed feel and still retains some of its historic structures, including a 1911 bathhouse, the 1930s Eugene Field Cottage, and a 1913 boathouse.
In 1972, the Washington Park Neighborhood was divided into two separate neighborhoods: Washington Park and Washington Park West. Now, it’s a scenic recreational area covering around 160 acres.

With a 360-degree laser light show and renowned meditation guides, this is a great place to meet locals and hang out. Housed in a converted 100-year-old church, there is no cannabis on site when it’s open to the public, but it’s worth a visit just to see the incredible artwork.
