A short history

Table Mesa began to flourish with the construction of the Table Mesa Shopping Center starting back in 1961. Managed by the Reynolds Family of companies, this became a destination in Boulder that people would travel to visit. 

Now, Table Mesa is a beautiful neighborhood known for its fantastic restaurants, great retail, and unrivaled scenery with the famous Flatirons so closeby.

Outdoors

South Boulder Recreation Center has a pool, gym, basketball court, and more. Not to mention some incredible views. This is a great spot to go to do some activities with the family. 

Right next to the Recreation Center is Harlow Platts Park. You’ll find a playground, the stunning Viele Lake, a disc golf course, picnic tables and more to explore.

Retail

The Table Mesa Shopping Center is the jewel of Table Mesa. It has a fantastic range of shops from big-name brands to small boutiques as well as some great cafes and restaurants to try. If you want a day of retail therapy, this is the place for you.

Table Mesa is a laid-back and family-friendly neighborhood with a great mix of old and new homes. The stunning ranch-style houses are interspersed with modern new builds, adding to 

the unique makeup of this popular neighborhood when families move to Boulder.

If you’re looking to buy, houses range from around $525,000 to over $2 million. The average price is $912,000 which is high, but this reflects the desirability of the neighborhood.

Outdoor life

The Mesa Trail is a must-try when in Table Mesa. This six-mile hiking trail has an impressive 440-foot elevation and goes from Boulder all the way to Eldorado Springs. This trail is made for experienced hikers who want to take in some of the best scenery in Table Mesa.

Cost of Living

Table Mesa is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Boulder, and so is an expensive area to live in. The cost of living is around 33% higher than the Boulder average, and around 46% high than the US average. 

The cost of living is offset by the employment opportunities in Table Mesa, however. Just like other areas of Boulder, unemployment in Table Mesa is below the national average and median wages are significantly higher, making this a popular place to live.
